Steph

I live in Blackburn and I have been a Christian believer for as long as I have been married to Tim, which is nearly 15 years.  We had only known each other for just 11 months before Tim asked me to marry him. I already had 2 children from my first marriage.

I knew that Tim went to church but what I didn’t know was that he was a Christian, or really what that meant.  I had been living at the YWCA for 2 years because I had nowhere else to go.  Tim took me to church and it was the first Christian meeting I had ever been to.  When we came away I felt that I could understand what it really means to be a Christian and I asked Jesus into my life and I committed my life to Him and my life has changed dramatically.

When I was 10 months old I contracted TB Meningitis which left me paralysed down the left side of my body. I was unable to walk without a bad limp and I had to wear special boots. My left hand was contorted into a fist and I was unable to use it. With God’s help I am now able to use my hand much more and to walk much better.

Now we are part of a warm, friendly fellowship of believers who love and care for each other. We are a mixture of personalities, race and background but we know God’s love in our lives, which has brought us all together to worship God.
